Spring Book Fair Support

WEF is delighted to have been able to use our Essential Needs fund to enable 32 students on waiver to purchase books at the spring book fair. Thanks to the lovely suggestion of several parents and thanks to your financial support of WEF, these students were given the opportunity to make their own purchases. We believe that, not only are books essential, but so is the boost to a child’s well being and confidence from making this purchase on their own.

  • Third and fourth grade teams Mrs. Willix, Mrs. Burt, and Mrs. Nasiopulos (printed dictionaries to help students with their vocabulary learning targets while developing necessary, hands on skills)

  • Mr. Wdowiarz's middle school classroom (materials to develop a bioactive enclosure for their classroom pet, which has been a subject of study and a valuable addition to the students' daily experience)

  • All students will benefit from Mr. Siemienkowicz's request for cabinet lighting in art and project display cabinets, to better highlight and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment for our students' work!

Congratulations to all grant recipients and thank you for the thoughtful planning and research that went into these requests.
